The Leshan City First Wastewater Treatment Plant, originally designed with a treatment capacity of 100,000 m³/d, is undergoing a retrofit and expansion project that adds 50,000 m³/d of new capacity, bringing the total to 150,000 m³/d. Invested and constructed by Leshan Haitian Water Affairs Co., Ltd., the project is located in Yong'an Village, Jiufeng Township, Zhongshan District, Leshan City. It serves the Leshan City's old city area, Xiaoba Section, part of the Zhugongxi Village area, Chengbei, Chengxi, and all areas along the east bank of the Minjiang River. The plant employs the "A2/O process combined with a secondary sedimentation tank, high-efficiency sedimentation tank, and denitrification filter system." Upon completion, it will handle an average daily wastewater volume of 150,000 m³/d.
